Determination of pore-size distribution in low-dielectric thin films
نویسندگان
چکیده
Positronium annihilation lifetime spectroscopy is used to determine the pore-size distribution in low-dielectric thin films of mesoporous methylsilsesquioxane. A physical model of positronium trapping and annihilating in isolated pores is presented. The systematic dependence of the deduced pore-size distribution on pore shape/dimensionality and sample temperature is predicted using a simple quantum mechanical calculation of positronium annihilation in a rectangular pore. A comparison with an electron microscope image is presented. © 2000 American Institute of Physics. @S0003-6951~00!03810-9#

Investigations on structural and electrical properties of Cadmium Zinc Sulfide thin films
Nowadays, II – IV group semiconductor thin films have attracted considerable attention from the research community because of their wide range of application in the fabrication of solar cells and other opto-electronic devices. Cadmium zinc sulfide (Zn-CdS) thin films were grown by chemical bath deposition (CBD) technique. X-ray diffraction (XRD) is used to analyze the structure and crystallite ...

متن کاملPositronium annihilation in mesoporous thin films
Depth-profiled positronium lifetime spectroscopy is used to probe the pore characteristics ~size, distribution, and interconnectivity! in porous, low-dielectric silica films. The technique is sensitive to the entire void volume, both interconnected and isolated, even if the film is buried beneath a metal or oxide layer. Our extension of a simple quantum mechanical model of Ps annihilation in a ...
متن کاملCharacterizing porosity in nanoporous thin films using positronium annihilation lifetime spectroscopy
Depth profiled positronium annihilation lifetime spectroscopy (PALS) is an extremely useful probe of the pore characteristics of nanoporous thin films in general and low-dielectric constant ðkÞ thin films in particular. PALS is sensitive to all pores (both closed and open) in the size range from 0.3 to B300 nm and to the closed-to-open pore transition. Deduced pore sizes have been extensively c...
متن کاملبررسی ثابت دی الکتریک لایه نازک SiO2با استفاده از آزمون بیضی سنجی
In this paper, we studied the optical behavior of SiO2 thin films prepared via sol-gel route using spin coating deposition from tetraethylorthosilicate (TEOS) as precursor. Thin films were annealed at different temperatures (400-600oC). Absorption edge and band gap of thin layers were measured using UV-Vis spectrophotometery. Optical refractive index and dielectric constant were measured by ell...
